We are looking for a Senior Android Developer who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance mobile applications and driving technical excellence across the Android platform. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with a product mindset and is capable of taking ownership of complex features from design to deployment.
As a Senior Android Developer, you will play a key role in architectural decisions, code quality, technical direction, and mentoring other team members while collaborating closely with Product, Design, Backend, and QA teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-quality Android applications.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex features from technical design through production release.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and establish best practices for Android development.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA Engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Develop and maintain integrations with RESTful APIs, real-time communication services, and third-party platforms.
• Design and implement location-based and map-related functionalities.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Conduct code reviews and help maintain high engineering standards across the team.
• Mentor and support other developers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt modern Android development practices and technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture patterns, particularly MVVM.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines and asynchronous programming.
• Strong experience with Dependency Injection frameworks, preferably Hilt.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling complex client-server interactions.
• Familiarity with Socket Programming and real-time communication architectures.
• Experience working with Map SDKs such as Google Maps, Mapbox, Neshan, or Balad.
• Strong understanding of mobile application performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience designing and developing production-grade applications with large user bases.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and debugging skills.
• Ability to take ownership of technical decisions and drive initiatives independently.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose in production environments.
• Familiarity with Clean Architecture and modular application design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Experience publishing, monitoring, and maintaining applications on Google Play.
• Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical leadership.
• Experience working in product-based or high-growth technology companies.
